Simone Giertz

Art is brilliant to comment on technology. Art is particularly good at raising issues on how technology impacts the daily live of humans. The AI discussion has been driven by metaphors from movies like 2001 - a space odyssey and Her. The Genetic engineering discussion has reached a broad audience through films like Blade Runner, Gattaca and Jurassic Park.

Simone Giertz’s shitty robots are mostly fun because like humans, they have their flaws and in that sense, they are a perfect example of the human factor of technology.

Known worldwide as the 'Queen of Shitty Robots', Simone Giertz is an inventor, public speaker and renown comedic YouTuber. Simone’s videos have seen her feature on The Ellen Show, The Late Show, Mashable, Business Insider, Wired, Conan O'Brien and more.
