The renewable sector expects a significant growth in the next 5 years, and expectations are between 10% and 20% annual growth until 2020. Trøndelag is well placed to a major part in this growth. At NTNU, we have an outstanding international research on both wind and hydro power as well as power systems that enable this renewable shift. Two of the country's largest power companies are located in Trøndelag and they both have a clear strategic focus on the renewable field.
11 billion NOK will be invested in one of Europe's largest onshore wind power facilities on the Fosen peninsula. This is a growing industry where many of the needed future key players do not exist today.
Come to this breakfast seminar and get an insight into an industry that becomes increasingly important for regional development.
