'Young Innovation Award' is a national competition aimed towards women entrepreneurs, especially within the field technology and sciences. The purpose of the award is to celebrate women who succeed and contribute to making their innovations more visible, and the winner will be awarded 200 000 NOK.

The Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion together with the Municipality of Trondheim will award 200 000 NOK once a year to a female researcher, inventor or founder that shows outstanding performance in her field of expertise. This year the awards celebrate its 10-year anniversary and the prize winner will be announced at Innovator, the entrepreneurs’ Oscar party, October 6 in Trondheim.

General applicant information:

  • 'Young Innovation Award' is a National award aimed to celebrate the achievements of young women
  • The prize is awarded female candidates beyond the age of 40 who works within technology and sciences, or social entrepreneurship
  • Nominated women should either be the founder of, or be an important part of, a great idea with the potential to become a sustainable company
  • The winner is decided by a jury with extensive competence and experience from the Norwegian scene of innovation, trade and industry. Head of the jury is Rita Ottervik, the Mayor of Trondheim
