Tesla Motors co-founder Martin Eberhard has been forced to cancel his appearance at Technoport 2016 due to an urgent operation. Work is well underway to find a replacement speaker for the conference to be held in Trondheim on 2 & 3 March.
“It is an unfortunate fact of life that illness can arise at any time, and we wish Martin Eberhard a speedy recovery,” says Gøril Forbord, CEO of Technoport.
“Of course we were all looking forward to hearing his story, but perhaps we will have the opportunity to hear it another time. Fortunately we have composed a program full of talented speakers, so as much as we will miss Martin, Technoport 2016 is still going to be an extraordinary event,” she adds.
Those other speakers include Hyperloop Transportation Technologies CEO Dirk Ahlborn, maker movement general Dale Dougherty, Industry 4.0 builder and new SINTEF CEO Alexandra Beck Gjørv, NTNU’s design thinking guru Martin Steinert, and loads more.
More information on a replacement speaker will be announced in due course.
