Eirik is co-founder and CMO of the startup AssiTech, founded while he studied at NTNU.
With a technical background from nanotechnology, Eirik pursued his interest in social entrepreneurship as a student at NTNU School of Entrepreneurship, starting the assistive device company AssiTech, and writing a master thesis on business models for social entrepreneurs in developing markets.
AssiTech develops the AssiStep, a mechanical aid for people with reduced mobility to climb stairs on their own. AssiTech received support from the NTNU Discovery programme in 2013.
AssiTech launched the AssiStep in 2015, and has received a lot of interest in the assistive device industry both nationally and internationally, for the design and function of the product.
