Technoport Talks: Anton Gustavsson – The users in the smart grid

Anton Gustavsson:

Anton and his colleagues at the Interactive institute are currently participating in the project ‘Stockholm royal seaport – urban smart grid’. This is a project that deals with smart grids in a city context. They are also currently participating in a project concerning the experience from producing one’s own electricity. Their work focuses on the smart grid user and interaction design that surrounds the user. I.e. the user experience of interacting with smart grid functions, how we through interaction design create new cultures and social values around energy use that stimulates an active and conscious electricity consumers, what kind of smart functions the user would need and so on. This incorporates a multidisciplinary approach spanning both technological aspect as well as design and behavior science.
